Glasswells to host Pudding Club event for Disability Care Enterprise

Glasswells home furnishings store in Ipswich is hosting Disability Care Enterprise's (DCE) next Pudding Club fundraising event. The event, a regular favourite in the local charity's calendar, will be held in the Place to Eat restaurant on Thursday June 25th from 7.00pm.

Carolyne Morey, project director for DCE, which raises funds to support local people with disabilities, said, "This is a night to remember for anyone who has a sweet tooth. Tickets are just £10, and that includes a drink on arrival, the opportunity to taste lots of different desserts donated by local businesses. Then we get to vote for the one that we like best. It's always well attended and we find that we have a lot of regular returners."

"This time, thanks to our new relationship with Glasswells, it's being held in their restaurant and they have agreed to donate one of their very special desserts for judging," she added. "And their professional catering staff have agreed to do us a cookery demonstration too."

Andrea Johnston, general manager of Glasswells Ipswich showroom, said, "Not only are we keen to support DCE's work here in the community, but I hope that we can provide a dessert to impress! All the food in our restaurant is freshly prepared on the premises, so we're hoping to be a strong contender."

"But this is a fun evening with a valuable purpose," she added. "Every penny that is raised goes straight into the local community, helping people with disabilities access the kind of equipment that might be out of their reach. It improves lives and we're delighted to help and support."

Tickets are available from Carolyne Morey via email: info@dcecharity.co.uk, by calling 07962 144730. Or by visiting the website: www.dcecharity.co.uk.
